Hello, I'm Corina

I love creating wedding dresses because they are so individualised and reflect a bride's personality. Working with a bride's ideas and inspirations, and the trust a bride places in me by adding my own professional design expertise, is really rewarding.

When I'm not desiging wedding dresses, you'll find me on our farm fixing fences and other maintenance work, or working in Silkwood Living, a furniture and decor storethat I own with my husband.

After designing high-end fashion since I was 18, I was asked by a leading fabric store if I could custom make a bridal gown for one of their valued clients. From there I fell in love with designing and making bridal gowns. A bridal gown is so individualized and reflects a bride's personality. Working with my bride's ideas and inspirations, and the trust a bride places in me by adding my professional design expertise, is really rewarding. I also adore working with the luxurious fabrics and laces that are available to us as designers.

There is a timelessness in the beauty of classic styles. The fitted silhouette, whether it be tailored or structured reflects a bride's femininity and showcases her shape. Every bride has a shape, and a good design will flatter and enhance her curves, camouflaging the “concern areas” and highlighting her strong features.

I do inform my clients that I am “blunt and honest”…… As a designer, applying my 30 years of design experience coupled with working with body shape is paramount to the design of the gown and chosen fabrics and laces.

"A bride should treat the purchase of her wedding gown as an investment. It is the strongest representation of a women's personal style she'll ever have - and the most important gown she'll ever wear. Remember, the wedding day is also a moment captured forever in photos. It's something you will look back on forever."

Designer's Studio

Print

In 2016, Corina Snow Bridal Couture purchased an old antique store located in the small town of Paengaroa in the Bay of Plenty. Over six months, Corina restructured and renovated the entire shop to customise it into the ideal bridal studio.

In 2017, Corina relocated her business to the new premises and in the midst, rebranded to The Bridal House by Corina Snow.

The studio has a display of wedding gowns, fabric samples, accessories, a large dressing room, a consultation area and of course, a warm fire to keep cosy on the brisk winter days.

The Bridal House is located in the same building as Silkwood Living, a homeware and giftware store which sells sustainable furniture and decor. The studio is also located next to award-winning cafe, The Trading Post, a cosy French bistro with a delicious menu.
